It commenced with a simple idea!
In 2013, two colleagues, one serving as a child psychologist and the other as a family advocate at a hospital on the far south side of Chicago, envisioned assisting the Jackson Park Community by providing Thanksgiving turkeys. The initiative began with a single email sent to their families and friends, appealing for donations. Since that initial outreach, the effort has expanded by a staggering 18,000% benefiting over 13,000 unsheltered and housing-insecure individuals annually with food and additional essential items such as winter gear and toiletries.
