It commenced with a simple idea!
In 2013, two colleagues, one serving as a child psychologist and the other as a family advocate at a hospital on the far south side of Chicago, envisioned assisting the Jackson Park Community by providing Thanksgiving turkeys. The initiative began with a single email sent to their families and friends, appealing for donations. Due to the success + growth year after year, in 2021, Radical Generosity Chicago became a 501(c)3. In 2024 alone, RGC was honored to provide over 44,000 unsheltered and housing-insecure individuals with food, clothing, and additional essential items such as toiletries and blankets.
